In October 2010 Upstate Medical Center in New York committed to doubling their recycling rates in 2011; a goal that should reduce disposal costs by $44,000.
Upstate approached Recycle Away for containers that would be used in 285 recycling stations throughout the medical center and campus. They requested containers designed for office areas as well as student centers and public waiting areas. With the help of Recycle Away Staff, Upstate was able to decide on two sturdy systems that would expand paper and bottle recycling.
Concord Two Stream Recyclers, constructed of fiberglass, include liners and reinforced plastic opening liners.
